A former professional ballet dancer, Anne has shifted her passion and dedication to the field of mental health counseling. She has earned a BA in Psychology from Duke University, a JD from Charleston School of Law, and has served as a mediator for civil conflicts. It was during her time mediating, navigating conflict as a neutral third-party, that she decided to move into the field of counseling in order to fulfill her desire to have a stronger, closer, and ongoing relationship with the people she was helping. She is pursuing an MA and EdM in Mental Health Counseling from Columbia University.
Anne seeks to create a supportive and warm therapeutic environment for her clients to explore their past and present. Her approach is person-centered, yet integrative, and seeks to bring about meaningful change in her clients’ lives. She has experience working with depression, anxiety, relational issues, identity development, trauma-related issues, and crisis intervention, amongst others.
