Senior Therapist

A former professional ballet dancer, Anne has shifted her passion and dedication to the field of mental health counseling. She holds a BA in Psychology from Duke University, a JD from Charleston School of Law, and an MA and EdM in Mental Health Counseling from Teachers College at Columbia University. It was during her time mediating civil conflicts that Anne decided to move into the field of counseling in order to garner a stronger relationship with her clients. Through counseling, she hopes to more directly help people make meaningful and lasting changes in their lives.

Anne believes in the importance of a supportive, collaborative, and warm therapeutic environment as she helps her clients reflect on their experiences and work towards their goals for the future. Her approach is multiculturally informed and integrative, drawing on her training in modalities such as Rogerian therapy and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT). She has experience working with depression, anxiety, relational issues, identity development, trauma-related issues, and crisis intervention, among others.
