Working in fast-paced startup environments exposed me to how deeply stress, burnout, and anxiety can impact people’s lives, often hidden behind ambition and high performance. Being surrounded by driven, capable individuals who were quietly struggling deepened both my awareness of mental health challenges and my longstanding interest in how people experience themselves, their relationships, and their overall well-being in today’s demanding world.
Alongside this curiosity, my work in marketing for wellness-focused startups and my health coach certification in 2020 further shaped my path. Supporting individuals in performance-driven roles helped me develop a holistic understanding of well-being and see how closely mental, emotional, and physical health are connected. Wanting to support people on a deeper and more sustainable level, I decided to pursue formal clinical training and am currently completing my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at NYIT.
While therapeutic frameworks like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) help guide my work, I aim to approach therapy by looking at my clients holistically, how the mind, body, and individual experiences all come into play. I am mindful that therapy can feel intimidating or unfamiliar, so I focus on creating collaborative and genuine relationships, where we work together to create meaningful and sustainable change.
I am Swiss by heritage and was raised in The Bahamas, later living in different cities and countries. These experiences have shaped my perspective on how culture and context influence identity and behavior.
Outside the therapy room, I love to travel to new countries (Mongolia is next on my bucket list), exploring NYC, and running on the West Side Highway. On weekends, if I’m lucky enough to get a court, I love to play tennis with friends.
