As your counselor, I will cultivate a nonjudgmental and unconditionally supportive environment. In session, I bring warmth, compassion, levity, and humor to create a healing space. From spending over a decade living and working in big cities like New York, I know that anxiety and stress can develop during dating and relationship challenges, stressful career decisions, the weight of others’ expectations and comparison with others.
Life is full of stressors, some of which we can prepare for while others are hard to see coming. In therapy, it is important to me to cater treatment to you and what you want out of counseling. Together, we’ll talk about your goals, your identity, the people who matter to you, your past, and your present.
I’m deeply curious and inspired by the human experience. While we’ll spend our time talking through challenges and what might make you feel the way you do, I also want to celebrate your wins and progress. In addition to bringing a strengths-based approach to counseling, I’ll also integrate cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, and somatic techniques into our work together.
I completed my BS in Health Promotion from American University, with a concentration in Business. This background provided me with a foundational understanding of human behavior, psychology, and physiology. I am currently completing an MSEd in Mental Health Counseling at Hunter College.
In my free time, I love to boulder, practice yoga, and bike around Brooklyn. Over the weekends, my partner and I enjoy taking long walks with our dog, Millie, and traveling upstate to hike and visit friends and family.
