Associate Therapist

I know the world we live in today is not always constructed to give us the time and space we need for our mental health to flourish, and I believe therapy can be the best space to unpack and make sense of what is going on in our lives.

Born and raised in New York City, I spent most of my young adulthood in the United Kingdom getting my undergraduate degree in Psychology from University of St Andrews in Scotland, before going on to receive my Masters of Science in Sport and Performance Psychology from University of Edinburgh. I worked as a performance psychologist in both traditional and e-sports, before deciding to get my masters in Counseling from New York University.

I came to the field of psychology through my college athletic career. I was an avid athlete through high school and, while in the UK, was able to rise to play sports on the national and international level. An unexpected guest lecture from a visiting Sport Psychologist was a lightbulb moment for me! Here was a way to combine an intellectual interest and my personal passion. I began to focus on performance and sport psychology — working with individuals facing challenges in their lives in the pursuit of their goals.

As a therapist I am grounded in third-wave evidence-based modalities such Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I find these to be effective for addressing issues such performance, anxiety, injuries, identity, career transitions, depression and much more. I also appreciate that these modalities leverage not just mental health, but the connections between the body and mind in total healing.

I also specialize in working with athletes, performers, and highly motivated achievers seeking to maximize themselves, their performance, and make the most of their lives while taking care of their mental health.

In my free time I enjoy watching movies with my girlfriend and my dog, going to the gym, playing ultimate frisbee, and competing in online gaming.
