The world demands so much of us on a daily basis that it is easy to lose sight of our internal compass. When we lose that sense of direction and agency, life starts to feel overwhelming. I view therapy as a dedicated space to pause that cycle, recenter, and rediscover what actually holds meaning for you.
I believe the therapeutic relationship relies on radical transparency. Trust is earned through directness and authenticity. I bring my full personality to this work—I’m not a “blank wall” therapist. I believe the process should feel grounded, down-to-earth, and real.
My path to therapy was not a straight line. After earning my PhD in Social Psychology from UT Austin, I spent over ten years in the tech industry at Facebook and Google. While I enjoyed the intellectual challenge, I reached a point where I no longer wanted to move metrics; I wanted to move people. I transitioned into clinical work to help individuals navigate the same pressures of identity, performance, and burnout that I witnessed (and felt) for a decade.
When I’m not in the office, you’ll likely find me at the gym. I’m a big believer in the mind-body connection, focusing my training on heavy compound lifts—there is something uniquely satisfying about hitting a new Personal Record!. I’ve also started getting into triathlons. I completed my first (sprint) one in August and have started training for an Olympic Triathlon.
For a change of pace, I’m either playing tennis, woodworking, or knitting. And when I want to unplug completely, I’m on my Switch playing a run on Hades!
