BA, MBA
Associate Therapist

I believe that growth is inevitable for those who patiently seek it. I also know that change is usually messy, non-linear, and almost always uncomfortable. Said differently, I am profoundly aware of the vulnerability and trust required to explore the intricacies and contradictions of your inner world with another person. My ultimate goal is to provide you with a warm and compassionate space to engage in this work together.

I, perhaps unexpectedly, spent the first decade of my career working in finance. Along this journey, I received my MBA from Columbia Business School. Prior to this, I received my BA in English and Psychology from Georgetown University, where my interest in storytelling and the human condition truly began. I am now pursuing my Masters in Counseling and Mental Health from Northwestern University.

I fundamentally believe that our lives revolve around the stories we tell ourselves. These stories are founded on external circumstances, some extremely painful, as well as internal emotions and thoughts. Emotions are never in themselves “wrong,” rather, they serve as valuable clues that will guide our time together.

Navigating our stories entirely independently may leave us feeling repeatedly stuck or isolated inside of ourselves, resulting in symptoms such as anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem. Throughout our relationship, my role is to help you voice, organize, and accept the various components of your story in order to make sense of them. However, I am not the author of your story – you are. My goal is simply to help you “edit” your story through curiosity and insight, perhaps highlighting buried pieces, or making space for confusing pieces, as you better understand yourself and the meaning you’re seeking from this life.

My therapeutic style draws from several theories including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. It is extremely important to me that I tailor my therapeutic approach to best fit your individual needs, timeline, and desired outcome. It is my privilege to be entrusted with your story, and I commend you for courageously stepping toward the life you want for yourself.
