From spending over a decade living and working in big cities, like New York and DC, I know that stress and anxiety can form while working through dating and relationship challenges, stressful career decisions, the weight of others’ expectations, and comparison with others.
In our work together, I’ll tailor treatment to align with your goals, values, and unique experiences. We’ll explore what is most important to you —your relationships, identity, and past and present experiences—and uncover what’s contributing to your stress. While we’ll talk through challenges and what makes you feel the way you do, I also want to celebrate your wins and progress. In addition to bringing a strengths-based approach to counseling, I’ll also integrate Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a psychodynamic approach, and somatic techniques to support your growth holistically.
In session, I bring warmth, compassion, levity, and humor to create a healing space to process what’s going on for you. Each week, we’ll uncover the causes of your distress and talk through how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are linked to your core beliefs. From there, we will develop actionable steps to help you get back on track.
I completed a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion at American University, with a concentration in Psychology and Business. This program gave me a strong foundation in human behavior, psychology, and physiology. I also completed a Master of Science (MSEd) in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College.
In my free time, I enjoy bouldering, practicing yoga, and biking around Brooklyn—activities that feel grounding and energizing. On weekends, my partner and I love taking long walks with our dog, Millie, and heading upstate to hike and visit friends and family.
