Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Adrian received their Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Spelman College, and returned to the big city to earn a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from New York University. Adrian is most passionate about helping clients live their lives as the fullest versions of themselves. They believe that a client’s journey to self-exploration, understanding and acceptance should be as delicately crafted as the roles these concepts play in a person’s identity. Adrian seeks to establish a therapeutic alliance with their clients by a cultivating sense of safety and curiosity.
Beginning their clinical career in Mental Health Counseling within a foster care agency, Adrian developed the skills for crisis intervention, increasing distress tolerance and coping with trauma. At Citron Hennessey, Adrian employs an eclectic approach, including Person-Centered therapy, CBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to fit their clients’ needs.
