Associate Therapist

From a young age, I possessed the ability to connect with people and help them open up about their lives. After embarking on a long journey as a lawyer, I realized that my true passion lies in the counseling room, where I can establish a safe, empathetic space where individuals can feel heard and understood.

In my home country Ecuador, I have been practicing therapy for over four years, and it has been incredibly rewarding to witness my clients make progress and achieve their goals. Currently, I am completing a Master of Arts in Mental Health and Wellness Counseling from New York University and offer therapy in both English and Spanish.

Therapy is akin to holding up an imaginary mirror to your thoughts and behaviors. As your therapist, my aim is to reflect back to you what I see, so you can gain a new perspective and insight into yourself. Together, we can explore the underlying issues that may be holding you back and find practical solutions to help you move forward.

Much of our thinking and behavior is shaped by our upbringing, culture, and experiences. However, just as we learn these patterns, we can unlearn them and create new, healthier ways of thinking and behaving that align with our values and the life we want to lead.
I firmly believe that a connection between therapist and client is essential for effective therapy. It is not about being liked or always agreeing with each other, but rather about building a solid, honest relationship.

My ultimate goal is to empower my clients to become their own therapists and not rely on me. I want to provide them with the tools and skills they need to tackle life’s challenges.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and trying new restaurants, but don’t find time to read as much as I would like to. I am a fan of Latin America and its culture.
